We have a released a new version of the Modernization Package (v8.4.1.8) and this version is now available for download. This release addresses several previously raised questions and limitations, including:
- Support for creating new subsites on existing Site Collections - Introduction of a new UCC Dashboard with increased scalability: List and library item limit increased to 5,000 items (previously 100) - A new procedure to delegate tasks to engineers using an app with Sites.Selected permissions only Optional support to store and retrieve the UCC Dashboard from a Site Collection App Catalog, instead of the tenant-wide App Catalog - More robust modernization scripting to improve reliability and flexibility
Customers who have already completed this action are advised to re-run the Deploy-UccDashboard.ps script to apply the new dashboard, which increases the list and library item limit to 5,000 items.
If you have any questions, feel free to raise a support ticket via our Support Portal.
Kind regards,
AnywhereNow

Dear AnywhereNow Customers and Partners,
We would like to inform you that we have finalized the scripts for SharePoint modernization. The prerequisites, along with an overview of what needs to be done, are now documented in a clear step-by-step approach. The documentation also includes a download link for the required scripts. All details can be found on GoLive via the following link: https://golive.anywhere.now/platform_elements/sptemplate/ucc-site-modernize-overview.html
As previously communicated, the modernization activities are strongly advised to be done in preparation for the 15th of March when Microsoft will disable custom scripting by default on classic publishing sites, block creation of new classic publishing sites, and prevent publishing feature activation: https://mc.merill.net/message/MC1117115
If you have any questions or require assistance, please feel free to raise a ticket via our support portal.
Kind regards, AnywhereNow Support

Dear AnywhereNow Customers and Partners,
We would like to bring your attention to an important Microsoft announcement that will affect all environments utilizing UCC.Creator scripts within the Dialogue Cloud Platform.
What this means for AnywhereNow's SharePoint UCC Sites:
New UCC sites will need to be created using the new SPFx‑based UCC-Dashboard and installed on a single site per UCC ( a continuation of our OneUCC model). The former Ucc.Creator scripts are expected to stop functioning after March 15, when Microsoft's deprecation takes effect.
Existing UCC sites, whether they are OneUCC sites or classic UCC Site Collections with (nested) subsites using portal.aspx, must be modernized to the new SPFx‑based UCC-Dashboard before Microsoft’s deprecation deadline in order to ensure a continued customer´s experience.
AnywhereNow is preparing an updated script package to facilitate the transition from Classic to Modern sites.
ACTION REQUIRED:
To ensure uninterrupted functionality and full compatibility on already existing UCCs, your SharePoint administrators must take action.
Administrators are required to run the AnywhereNow PowerShell modernization script, which: - uploads new visuals and formulas to your SharePoint tenant. - updates site views to the new SPFx template. - Replaces legacy classic components that will stop functioning after Microsoft’s deprecation.
The modernization script will be made available later this week. We will issue an additional Status Page update as soon as the script is published.
Administrators will have the option to run the action per individual UCC [sub]site, or in bulk.
What happens if no action is taken?
Failure to modernize will result in reduced functionality once Microsoft retires the classic features. Core functionalities, such as dialogues and agent routing, will remain unaffected. However, non‑core features will be affected, including Field validation, Dashboard statistics, and Dynamic list views.
In practice, the existing UCC (sub)sites will continue to communicate with Dialogue Cloud UCC's if not modernized, but user interaction (by a supervisor or admin) using the legacy Anywhere365-dashboard may deteriorate or stop after March 15th 2026 (access to native views of SharePoint lists and libraries will be the only fallback)

This is a reminder regarding the previously communicated action related to the SharePoint authentication method in use. Customers who are still using ClientID/Client Secret authentication are required to migrate to Certificate based authentication before the 2nd of April to ensure continued service availability. This change is necessary to prevent potential service disruptions in the future.
Customers who have already migrated to Certificate‑based authentication can ignore this message.
If you have any questions or require assistance with this migration, please contact our support team.
Kind regards,
AnywhereNow

Dear AnywhereNow Customers and Partners
Microsoft has announced the retirement of the Client ID/Secret authentication method for SharePoint Online in April 2026, which has historically been used to connect to SharePoint. This change is part of Microsoft’s deprecation of Azure Access Control Services (AACS). For more details, see the official Microsoft announcement: https://aka.ms/retirement/acs/support.
Timeline and Impact As per Microsoft Message Center announcement MC693863 (November 27, 2023): November 1, 2024: New tenants can no longer use SharePoint ACS. April 2, 2026: ACS will be fully retired; existing tenants must migrate by this date.
What does this mean for the Dialogue Cloud Platform? After April 2026, the Client ID/Secret method will no longer work to connect the Dialogue Cloud platform with your SharePoint sites.
What is AnywhereNow changing? To align with Microsoft’s security standards and roadmap, AnywhereNow is transitioning to certificate-based authentication for SharePoint Online integrations. This approach enhances security and ensures long-term compatibility with Microsoft 365 services.
Action Required: Before April 2026, please change your UCC site authentication method to using AppOnly/Certificate as advised by both Microsoft and AnywhereNow.
What happens if no action is taken? If the migration to certificate-based authentication is not completed before April 2026, your applications will lose access to SharePoint Online, leading to critical service disruptions. • UCCs will fail to start after a restart, causing an outage, • Call recordings will not be saved in SharePoint. • IVR or agent list changes will not take effect. • Callbacks and voicemails will not work.
Should you require assistance with this subject or encounter any issues during the migration, please submit a case via our Support Portal: https://support.anywhere.now or contact your partner.

Dear AnywhereNow customers and partners,
We would like to inform you about an upcoming certificate renewal for the EMEA‑GWC Direct Routing region. Earlier in January, we informed customers that they needed to update their root and intermediate certificates to maintain a valid and trusted certificate chain for our services. These updates were required in preparation for this activity.
The certificates for all other regions were already renewed on January 11, so customers hosted outside the GWC region do not need to take any action and will not receive similar updates.
Certificate Renewal Details:
Date: Sunday, March 01, 2025 Time: 01:00 UTC Region: EMEA GWC Direct Routing Expected Duration: A 1‑hour window has been reserved, although the renewal itself is expected to be completed within approximately 15 minutes.
Customers hosted on EMEA GWC who have not updated their root and intermediate certificates before 01 March 2026 may encounter issues: your systems could reject our renewed certificates because the Certificate Authority is not trusted. This may cause service disruption, including scenarios where your SBC may go OFFLINE and stop processing traffic.
